Our Approach

Our goal was to design Turbine Info to be a best-in-class native mobile app, seamlessly working as part of ONE FieldService, a suite of task-at-hand oriented apps that empower Vestas’ technicians to swiftly and efficiently execute tasks. Additionally, our app needed to provide real-time relevant information to maintenance technicians. The result — a tailored solution optimized for better performance and user experience on the iOS platform, mixing the SAP Fiori/Apple Human Interface Guidelines for optimal user interface design.

Hundreds of thousands of data points are fetched directly from the cloud, making it possible to deliver information to technicians at high speed. Users subscribe to the data that are relevant to them and their daily tasks, thereby reducing complexity and increasing user relevance and adoption.

Real time monitoring and direct integration with 3rd party systems that monitor the turbines empowers field technicians to do their best work every day.

How does it work?

The One Field Service solution is a suite of native iOS apps that run on the SAP Cloud Platform with native SDK’s. The new mobility platform is based on SAP Plant Maintenance og Customer Service (”SAP PM/CS”).

  • Task Management: This native application grants frictionless access to SAP maintenance orders. It allows Vestas’ field service technicians an instant overview of the tasks ahead of them.
  • Time Management: With this application, Vestas field service technicians are able to register time spent on specific maintenance orders as well as time spent in general, like vacation time, sick days or internal tasks.
